Only a few hours left before we say farewell to 2011...sadly it has come to an end...but don't fret...with all good endings, come great beginnings! 2011 was a fabulous (not really) year...but I'm so looking forward to 2012!!!! I know it will be an EXCELLENT year!!!!!
Every year I attempt to set a resolution and wouldn't you know it i never do you. So instead of having a New Year's resolution this year... I have decided to choose one little word that will keep me focused throughout the year. Drum roll please............
My OLW is.................
Perseverance
Definition of Perseverance is Steadfastness in doing something despite difficulty or delay in achieving success.
There are many areas in my life that I would like to focus on this coming year. My communication with my son's father, my weight gain over the years, documenting my son and myself better this year, hopefully find some employment by the end of the year, and improving family relationship. (read the post above for a more detailed description on why I want to focus on these areas of my life.)
What will your one little word be for 2012?

2011 in Review
This sure has been a chaotic year but still good in some parts. Well here we go.........
January: It is the new year my son's father moved with his wife and my son's half brother back to her hometown in Tennessee they have been there since September 2010. Life is going good taking Hayden to his speech classes down the street at one of the local elementary schools.
February: Well it looks like my son's father moved back to Oregon after a little less than 6 months and it appears that he and his wife are going to be getting a divorce. He calls me towards the end of the month to set up some visitation to see our son.
March: Not even 24 hours after my son is back from visiting his dad I am served with custody papers stating that He wants me to start paying him Child Support when he is in fact almost 6 grand in back Child Support. He wants full custody of our son and for him to live with him permanently with myself getting visitation every other weekend. What is he thinking. So with in the next few weeks I find my self a lawyer.
April: We have Mediation the 2nd Wednesday in April. It was all resolved in a matter of a hour. It turned all in my favor. I have full legal custody and my ex will see him every other weekend, few weeks every summer and every other Christmas and Thanksgiving. He will still continue paying Child Support. Now all we have to do is wait for a Judgement to be written up by my ex's lawyer and submitted to a judge. At the end of April I get Hayden registered for his first year of Kindergarten and hes very excited.
May-Aug: Everything is pretty good these couple of months still waiting on the Judge to sign the papers. It shouldn't be taking this long. Hayden finishes up his speech classes and will be stating Kindergarten in a Month. His new school has this Ready Freddy Program for 2 weeks to show the new Kindergartners what it will be like once they start school in the fall. Hayden really enjoyed it and is getting super excited to start school next month.
September- December: Well the papers finally have been signed after almost 6 months since this all started after mediation. Hayden finally started school where I start to volunteer in his class. We go on our first field trip to the pumpkin patch. His teacher and speech teacher suspect that his could possibly have Autism and ADHD. They want to evaluate him and also to get evaluated by a developmental pediatrician. After his evaluation with his school they are suspecting autism but are not able to diagnose him. They say that he is above average in Math and Reading but below average in writing but said its due to his speech delay. Hayden went as woody for Halloween.
I finally get an appointment with the Developmental Doctor but the next appointment isn't til mid December. Thanksgiving rolls around and we all have a fun time with family. My birthday rolls around and I turn 26. We meet with the doctor in mid December and he say just in the short time he evaluated Hayden hes positive that he isn't Autistic but still needs to do all the testing to get a diagnoses. Also he wants me to set up another appointment with him to go over the results and then two appointment's one for hearing and the other with a sensory specialist. Christmas rolls around and he spends 4 days with his dad getting lots of presents some I don't much approve of. He comes back home we have 2 more Christmas with him (one with my and my parents and then one with his cousins).
